Lars Ulrich Thinks Some Kind of Monster Was a Mistake

SURPRISE! Lars Ulrich thinks the Some Kind of Monster documentary was a mistake. Lars I could have told you that before you even started it. The whole years around the release of St. Anger is a time Metallica fans would like to forget....unless you tattoo that ninja star on your arm. But no one would do that right?

Lars told the Australian Herald: "Every time I see Noel Gallagher he quotes lines from that movie back to me." When Noel Gallagher is calling you out as an ass, then you were a big ass! However, that is a plus 1 for Noel and someone needs to smack Lars in the face with that shitty documentary.

Lars continued: "That thing has taken on a life of its own. I had to live that shit for three fucking years! The whole thing was a mindfuck. I am aware a lot of other musicians seem to have lived a lot of those moments. They weren't necessarily stupid enough to film them like we were and share them with the rest of the world."

That pretty much sums up my feelings. Here was a band that kicked ass, took names, drank all your beer, and fucked all your women. They were the four horsemen and now they were talking with a shrink and crying about feelings. What the fuck happened to Metallica?

It has taken YEARS to shed this image. Sure Death Magnetic has helped, but it will take years of good albums to make people forget that documentary and maybe another ten years to forget St. Anger....unless you tattooed that ninja star on your body, then it is a permanent reminder of Metallica's worst years.
