Rolling Stones on Jimmy Fallon's Late Night

Starting tonight (May 10), Late Night with Jimmy Fallon will celebrate The Rolling Stones 1972 masterpiece Exile on Main Street. The tribute will last a full week and will see

On May 10, Green Day will kick off Late Night’s week of Exile covers. Keith Urban and Sheryl Crow follow, with Phish closing out the guest appearances. Other musicians will also stop by to jam with the house band. Friday, May 14’s show will be entirely devoted to the premiere of the Stones in Exile documentary with limited commercial interruptions. Mick Jagger will join Fallon in the studio.

Mick had this to say about Jimmy Fallon:

“Jimmy has always been very supportive,” says Jagger. “He’s a big music guy, so I’m looking forward to it.”

I think it is a cool event. The tribute performances will probably suck, but the limited commercial interruption of the Exile documentary should be DVR'ed for any Stones fan.
