Starting this week, Amazon.com will stream a new single from the upcoming self-titled Stone Temple Pilots album. Each week leading up to the release, a new single will be available for your listening pleasure.

This week the new single is Hickory Dichotomy. It has a Bob Dylan meets the Talking Heads countrified. It might take a few more listens for me, but I think it stinks.

This marks the second song I have heard from the album (Between the Lines) that just hasn't really been great. You can find my thoughts on the first song here. I don't know what to blame either. Creatively the two songs I have heard are subpar. Could the fact they recorded this album in two separate locations with Scott never present be to blamed?
