Could David Lee Roth Do a Vegas Show?
The David Lee Roth rumor mill is churning. On the heels of our rumor about John 5 and David Lee Roth recording (link), comes the news DLR may be in talks for a Vegas show.
Eddie Trunk hosts a show on satellite radio and said that he heard from a promoter about a possible David Lee Roth Vegas show with Vince Neil. The details are a bit sketchy, but it sounded like there may be a backing band and there were three legendary singers involved. Vince, Roth, and another to be named later.
Each singer would choose six songs and perform them with the backing band for the crowd. Then each singer would come back for an All-star like finale performing a few songs together.
Could this be something that DLR does when the Van Halen gravy train dries up...if it hasn't already? Will this news push Van Halen into doing something shortly? It is clear that Diamond Dave is not comfortable sitting around doing nothing. I am hoping for a Van Halen tour this fall or winter. But if that doesn't pan out, I will move to Vegas and learn to be an acrobat for the inevitable Cirque du Rock with Vince Neil and Diamond Dave.

Roth did a Vegas gig back in the 90's.
It didn't go well.

Yes, but the 90s were a barren wasteland for DLR. His popularity has been on a upswing since the VH reunion.
I feel the right kind of show would be successful especially with how Vegas has become a destination spot.

The show dave did in the 90's was a Big band show with a group called the ''Mambas'' and was not a rock and roll show. This could work. The show also featured Edger Winter.

I haven’t heard of Van Halen for quite some time. I hope their tour will push through this fall or winter. Craig, you’re moving to Vegas to see Cirque du Rock? My friends told me that it’s a wild, yet entertaining show.
