I have another confession to make today. I love Sammy Hagar. He was the
best front man in Van Halen history and I have proof.
What did the Roth era Van Halen ever sell? Nothing. There were no products back in the day using Van Halen music to push stuff. We know that that more products you sell using your music, the more money you make, and the more universally accepted your music is.
Van Hagar sold Right Now to Pepsi for their Crystal Pepsi soft drink. It was the best decision ever made by Van Halen other than firing David Lee Roth. Look how popular Crystal Pepsi is today and how ubiquitous Crystal Pepsi and Van Hagar have become since that partnership.
