SHOCKING NEWS: Aerosmith Announce European Tour
The Aerosmith in-fighting has been laid to rest. And we here at Blogs
N' Roses are confirming, the whole Steven Tyler leaving Aerosmith was a
publicity stunt.
What better way to keep your name in the news while your lead singer is in rehab, than fabricate a story about fighting and carrying on without him? It worked because TMZ were creating stories about Tyler singing in Home Depot's. We even spoofed that article in the "Tyler Sings in Dennys" and "Tyler sings at Ross."
I think our first inclination things were not what the media portrayed was when two of our friends in The Dirty Pearls went and saw The Joe Perry Project in NYC. It was at this show that the elusive Steven Tyler showed up and fronted the Joe Perry Project for a few songs. The boys in the Pearls said that there was no indication of trouble when they hit the stage together. They were right, it seems.
Aerosmith just announced a European tour - The Cocked, Loaded, and Ready to Rock tour. Here are the dates:
Jun. 10 - Sweden - Sweden Rock Festival
Jun. 13 - UK - Download Festival
Jun. 15 - UK - London 02 Arena
Jun. 18 - Romania - Bucharest
Jun. 20 - Greece - Athens Olympic Stadium
Jun. 23 - Holland - Nijmegen Goeffert Park
Jun. 25 - Belgium - Graspop Metal Meeting
Jun. 27 - Spain - Barcelona St Jordi Arena
Jun. 29 - France - Paris Bercy Arena
Jul. 01 - Czech Republic - Prague 02 Arena
Jul. 03 - Italy - Venice Festival
And here is an amusing video of Aerosmith announcing the tour.
Speaking of the Dirty Pearls, those lucky bastards are going to be playing South By Southwest in March. To kick that off in style, they will be doing a show next Wednesday in NYC at Santos House. If you are in the vicinity, I highly suggest this show. Chainsaw Trio and Acey Slade's electronica outfit Dark Party. If that isn't enough, Andrew W.K. will be DJing. How sweet is that?
How much would you pay for such an event? 40.00 bucks? Fuck that, the Pearls have your back. The whole show costs 10.00 in advance or 12 at the door. Go here for more information.
