The Download festival in England has decided to have Aerosmith headline. The stipulation is that Steven Tyler has to front the band.

Could this be Aerosmith's way of rejuvenating lagging ticket sales? Might this Steven Tyler working on Brand Tyler all be a ploy and we fell for it?

I think if we see Aerosmith playing more festivals, we can chalk it up to a big old publicity stunt. Until then, I believe Tyler did leave the band and Perry was looking for a replacement.

But I am mad at Download organizers. I would have booked Aerosmith on the condition Billy Idol, and ONLY Billy Idol fronts them. I think it would be awesome to see the curled lip one singing Train Kept a Rollin'.
