Ah the rumor mill has already started for "Who will replace Stephen Tyler?" Someone tossed out Lenny Kravitz as a viable option to replace the irreplaceable Tyler. Yes, Kravitz has a great working relationship with Joe Perry. Yes, Kravitz has opened for Aerosmith on a number of occasions. But REALLY?! Lenny Kravitz singing Walk This Way? That would sound fucking terrible.

I really can't see Lenny being in a real band. I don't think his charisma would allow him to be just the front man or just the ax man. He needs to play his flying V and sing too. Don't get me wrong, I like Lenny, but whoever came up with the idea that Kravitz would be a good fit with Aerosmith is a moron.

As I was writing this, I realized Lenny Kravitz was also rumored to have replaced Scott Weiland in Velvet Revolver. Now it makes sense. Lenny's publicist floats some rumors out there about him joining this or that band. Lenny has to issue a public statement and this keeps his name in the news/press. DAMN IT! I fell for it again.
