Chickenfoot's Album Certified Gold
Chickenfoot's self-titled debut album was certified gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America)
on September 10, 2009 for shipments in excess of 500,000 copies in the
United States. The LP — which has actually shifted a little more than
300,000 units, according to Nielsen SoundScan — is packaged in
heat-sensitive artwork, which means when you put your hand on the CD
inlay, photos of the band members are revealed behind the Chickenfoot band logo.
You can read our review of the Chickenfoot album here. But I really think you need to see them live to truly appreciate the music. The first time we saw them, they were amazing. But the second time we saw them, they were a bit lackluster. You can read our reviews of those shows at the following locations: Philly show review, Atlantic City show review.
