Danzig Performing in Texas
I want to play a little game with you. I am going to list a three words
and I want you to free associate a musician with them. Ready?
Fun
Texas
Blood
If you said Danzig, you probably read the headline. Danzig will perform at the Fun Fun Fun Fest on November 8 at Waterloo Park in Austin, Texas. This will be one of only two shows Danzig will play for the rest of 2009.

Now onto this press release we received:
For every Danzig fan who was dying to know the lyrics to all the DANZIG, MISFITS and SAMHAIN songs — tracks that never had their "dark verses" printed — well, wait no more. Glenn Danzig's song lyrics, illustrated by longtime Danzig collaborator and friend Simon Bisley, will finally see the light of day in December. Each song gets its own illustration by Bisley, who has painted many album covers for Danzig, including the latest CD, "The Lost Tracks of Danzig", and ex-MISFITS member Doyle Von Frankenstein's solo project GORGEOUS FRANKENSTEIN (which Glenn produced). The book will be available at indie record stores, as well as select comic shops.
I thought, well I am not sure how cool this would be since The Misfits songs do enough to conjure up images through the lyrics and album artwork. I don't think they really need an illustrator to create images around those songs. That changed when I saw the picture attached to the press release:

I don't even think that is an illustration. That is a self portrait of Danzig sitting around his house on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
