Trent Reznor is a god amongst this area of the internet. You will find homages littered all over this site by simply search his name. It is mostly because he is a supreme bad ass, forward thinker, and all around great guy. A trio of awesomeness that is rarely seen.

Rolling Stone recently asked him if the announcement was true about NIN touring no more.

“What I specifically said or meant to convey is that NIN as a touring live band or live band that’s on the road all the time is stopping. I’ve just reached the point … where it has invaded every other aspect of my life,” Reznor said. “I have a number of projects that are not music-related which I have put on the back burner for a long time.” Reznor adds that because of the way the record industry is built, “the only way to get a paycheck is to play live,”

Then he blasted Greed $immons with this comment:

“I’d never want to be Gene Simmons, an old man who puts on makeup to entertain kids, like a clown going to work,”

So true and so insightful. Greed almost reminds me of Bob Goldthwait in Shakes the Clown. Watch that movie if you get a chance
