According to CMT.com, former Alice In Chains bassist Mike Starr has been selected as a cast member for the new season of the VH1 reality series "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew". Hosted by Dr. Drew Pinsky, the season will consist of eight episodes that follow the real-life experiences of celebrity patients undergoing detoxification and treatment at the Pasadena Recovery Center. Joining Starr are country singer Mindy McCready, actress Mackenzie Phillips ("One Day at a Time"), former Hollywood Madame Heidi Fleiss, NBA great Dennis Rodman, Lisa D'Amato ("America's Next Top Model"), former Miss United States Teen Kari Ann Peniche and Joey Kovar ("Real World Hollywood").

Wow, that is certainly a list of "celebrities." What would I do without the sterling life work of Kari Ann Peniche? Or the unending charity of Joey Kovar? What the fuck. This show sucks. Intervention on A&E is much more compelling because they arn't washed up celebrities looking to regain their moment in the sun. But for some, they never had a moment in the sun, I am looking at you Joey Kovar.
