Crue Fest 2 Lineup Revealed
It is time for Crue Fest 2. The festival dropped the moniker "The White Trash Circus" and are going with no second name. Too bad since "The White Trash Circus" aptly described the concert goers.
Your lineup this year is:
MÖTLEY CRÜE
Godsmack
Theory of a Deadman
Drowning Pool
Charm City Devils
The addition of Godsmack is a puzzling one because they are a band that might outplay Motley Crue night after night. The band almost outplayed Metallica when they were on tour together and the Crue are not as great as they once were.
Drowning Pool is also an interesting addition since they haven't really been relevant since Dave Williams died in 2002. Granted I enjoyed Loudest Common Denominator and think it is a solid record, but I'll bet the public has forgotten about them. I wish them well on this tour since the festival does well across the country.
Now for the press conference: MÖTLEY CRÜE stopped lunch-hour traffic in New York City arriving at Fuse in a "Dr. Feelgood"-era ambulance accompanied by scantily clad nurses. As previously announced, the band is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their first #1 album by playing "Dr. Feelgood" from beginning to end every night of Crüe Fest 2. In addition, fans can expect MÖTLEY CRÜE to bring out hits from their entire catalog through their latest hit, "Saints of Los Angeles".
