Danzig, Throwdown, Atreyu Perform at Musink Tattoo Convention

I was going to report on the first annual nationwide tattoo and music show Musink featuring Motorhead and Social Distortion. It was scheduled to be launched in January of 2009. But my sources were mixed on this. Two people said it wasn't going to happen and another said it was, but not in the tour sense. I decided to hold off on reporting this until further information was available. (I know that is completely not like us. See the many Led Zeppelin fake tour rumors)

Reverend Horton Heat, Danzig, Throwdown, and Atreyu are scheduled to perform at the second annual Musink tattoo convention and music festival, set to take place February 20-22, 2009 at the Orange County Fair and Exhibition Center in Costa Mesa, California. The event will feature over 200 of the world's finest tattoo artists, art exhibits, lifestyle vendors, educational seminars and skateboarding/BMX demos and more.

So now instead of travelling across the company, YOU are going to travel to the convention. It worked before. Last year in Orange County, California, Musink pulled in 15,000 people with only The Used, Tiger Army, and Metal Skool playing. So acts like Reverend Horton HeatAtreyu and Danzig might pull in even larger audience.

The first annual nationwide Kat Von D And Samsung Mobile Musink Tattoo And Music Festival — which was scheduled to launch January 30, 2009 and hit 25 cities in the United States for six weeks — was cancelled earlier this month due to the current economic climate.

That is essentially code for "We don't think this will pull enough people to make a profit in 25 cities." Poster for the event is below:
