Mudvayne to Release First Ever Fan Generated Album
Mudvayne will release a new album entitled "By The People, For The People," on November 27th. The album will consist of live recordings, rarities, demos, and two new recordings. One recording will be a cover of the fantastic song by the Police "King of Pain." The other song will be the first single "Dull Boy."The album was chosen by fans. Some flowery press release had this to say:
Mudvayne is creating history by offering their diehard fans the opportunity to participate in creating the entire content of the album. Starting on September 26th, fans will be able to visit www.mudvayne.com and www.myspace.com/mudvayne to help pick the track listing, submit fan-generated album artwork, and participate in creating the video for first single, "Dull Boy," which makes its radio debut in early October.
Chad Gray, lead singer of Mudvayne: "We have some of the greatest fans and this album is a way for us to give back to those that have supported us throughout the years."
So, by being a die-hard fan you can pick the track listing and then shell out $18.99 for the cd. Sounds about right, you greedy assholes. If you truly loved your fans, you would offer this as a free download to whoever paid to see you in concert. I have wasted at least 80 minutes of my life watching you douches jump around in gorilla suits on Ozzfest. I figure you owe me.
